In 1919, the city of New Orleans, a letter was sent to the Times-Picayune by someone claiming to be "the Axeman," threatening that anyone NOT dancing to the rhythm of a jazz band on the following Tuesday night would "GET THE AXE!"

Clicquot shines a light on the remarkable Barbe-Nicole Clicquot Ponsardin who, in the wake of the French Revolution, defied the status quo and changed the rules for women in business, leaving behind an indelible entrepreneurial legacy.

“Godspell” is about retelling the parables from the Bible with a modern twist, using rock music and exaggerated acting, it is a show within a show to present wonderful songs and stories that everyone will quickly relate to.

“Kalopsia: The Musical,” a musical comedy about a young Black man who copes with trauma by escaping into a glitzy fantasy world. The show is a result of a New Hazlett artist residency by Freeland and his co-writer, composer Michael Meketa III.
